DT - Pizza

 In DT this term we are looking at making pizzas. Today we thought about the base for our pizzas- we thought about the fact that pizza base is made of bread and started by thinking of different types of bread we could use as a base. We then tasted different types of bread and thought about which would be best for a pizza base and why.

English Lo: to perform poetry

 Inspired by our visit from the poet Tony Peek, earlier in the week, we have started looking at some poetry in our English lessons. We thought about what poems are and listened to some performances of some famous poems including Macavity the mystery cat, Life doesn’t frighten me at all by Maya Angelou and From a railway carriage by Robert Louis Stevenson. We then had a go at practising reading and performing some of these poems before learning a little bit of Please Mrs Butler by Allan Ahlberg off by heart.

PE- Apparatus

 This week, we used the different pieces of equipment to help us practice our balances. We had to be super still and focussed to use the high balance beam. Our core muscles really got a work out.
