We used ‘slow reveal’ on a picture of Mary Anning to find out information about her life and why she was famous. We then became amateur scientists and carefully revealed  fossils on our pretend beach!!  

 Year 2 started the afternoon matching statements and pictures to the story of the Great Fire. Then we read statements and matched them to the most relevant historical source.

 Using a series of images we looked for evidence about how the Great Fire of London started and where it took place. We discovered that we could find out a lot!

 Today in history we were continuing to look at the story of Guy Fawkes. We had various statements about the story and had to find the evidence around the classroom which supported the statement and told us that it was true. We then had to decide which was the best piece of evidence for each statement. There was lots of discussion about this, we also identified which piece of evidence was not actually true!
