Carrying on our work on paper art we made Easter cards today by cutting and folding paper to make intricate eggs.

Phonics Lo: to understand contractions
In phonics this week we have been looking again at contacted words, we have practised spelling them and today we played a game matching contracted words with the long version of the words. We are trying really hard to use these words in our writing making sure that we spell them correctly and put the apostrophes in the correct place.
Art Lo: to make a paper sculpture
In art this term we have been looking at paper art. Today we had a go at creating paper sculptures. We looked at the different ways we can work with paper including folding, twisting, curling, shaping. We then used some of these skills to create our own paper sculpture.
