Today we learned that a continent is a group of countries. We learnt that there are seven continents and we learnt the names of them. We also had a go at locating the continents on a world map and labelling the world map. You may like to listen to the continents song at home to help learn the names of the continents. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiti-6f_aX6AhWPX8AKHcdIDz0QtwJ6BAgIEAI&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DK6DSMZ8b3LE%26vl%3Den&usg=AOvVaw0-1CixQd1uagMgXn15d6ID
This week in maths we have been looking at number lines. We have talked about looking at the intervals on a number line and how much they are worth. We have looked at placing 1s and 10s in a number line and then estimating numbers on a number line.
Both Yaverland and Compton classes discussed staying safe online with Ms Steele this afternoon. We discussed what the word permission means and when we might need to get permission to go online, or during online activities. We looked at various scenarios and matched cards to them explaining why we need permission.
