Science - Which material is the most absorbent?

This week we explored absorbency in more depth, looking at which material would be most appropriate to use as a doormat for our classroom, to stop us bringing so much water in with us on these cold, wet and windy days!

Mrs Loizos was really impressed with how confidently and accurately they could use a pipette, clearly they had remembered this skill from their learning and practice in Year 1!

The recorded how many drops each material could hold, before the material became saturated and the water began to drop through the beaker below. We then looked at how we could present our data in a bar graph, moving on from our pictograms in Year 1.

We look forward to finishing this next week!
