Science - Can I remember the properties of a material?

This week, both Compton and Yaverland are beginning a new unit of learning on Materials. Today we spent our lesson talking about and remembering what we learned last year, recalling what a 'property' of a material is, and recalling the properties we remembered.

We remembered that a 'property' of a material, is the way a material behaves.

We could also remember properties such as; hard, soft, flexible, waterproof, absorbent.

We needed a little help remembering; opaque and transparent. So we did lots of practice of this and found lots of these materials, classifying them in to groups.

We then learned a new word: brittle.

We are excited to see how materials change next week.
