Science - Who eats what?

Today we built on our understanding of habitats by looking at animals and plants that live in three specific habitats; ocean, rainforest and woodland. We learned that all habitats have a range of producers, and that these are able to make energy from the energy of the sun, through photosynthesis. After chanting 'producers are plants' about a million times, we moved on to consumers - herbivores, carnivores and omnivores - classifying a range of each type. We then learned all about energy flow and food chains, creating our own little food chain books! We look forward to finishing these next week.
